We absolutely loved this apartment. It was updated, clean, charming, just wonderful. We loved Rafaella, our greeter. She was sweet and showed us how everything worked. It was very nice to have a washer/dryer fridge. The metro stop was close and we had such a great time exploring the city. The only thing we didn't love was how thin the walls were. We could hear the neighbors talking and listening to music. I'm sure that is something everyone in Paris deals with in these wonderful old buildings, but it was a little unsettling. We would stay here again though, it wasn't a big deal! Why HiP? We thought the price was reasonable, and the pictures on the site looked gorgeous. We liked the fact that there is a greeter, and ours was lovely. We will recommend Haven to all of our friends and family, and use you again! |

Haven in Paris was fantastic. Having never rented a vacation apartment in the past (we've always stayed in hotels when traveling), I was a little nervous booking one of the HIP properties. But after speaking with a few others who'd gone through HIP in the past - and hearing about their positive experiences - we decided to give it a shot. Not only was it easy (and economical!) to book a property with HIP, the property itself (we stayed in the Sacre Coeur studio apartment) was very clean and well equipped with most things someone with a lengthier stay would need - i.e., pots/pans, dishes, cutlery, towels/linens, etc. Finally, our greeter was Roger and he was incredibly friendly and had excellent suggestions for us regarding where to shop locally for groceries, eateries to try, and so on and so forth. He took his time making us feel comfortable in the studio apartment and was always easily accessible (by e-mail, phone) whenever we had questions - both prior to our arrival as well as during our stay. I strongly recommend booking a property through Haven in Paris. We had a great time and will look to them again the next time we visit Paris - perhaps try one of their other locations. Why HiP? Cost was definitely a factor, but we also liked the location of Sacre Coeur (Montmartre was an area we wanted to explore anyway) and it was close enough to other attractions such as the Musee du Louvre and Tour Eiffel by metro). Ease of booking online definitely helped, as well. And finally, while staying in hotels is nice, my husband and I were looking for a romantic getaway and wanted to limit the interruptions as much as possible. We are not messy people and didn't need housekeeping on a regular basis. |

Rafaella greeted us very warmly upon our arrival and was very helpful with any questions with accommodations and any other random questions we had. The studio was quaint with an awesome view of an old cemetery. It was small but had everything you could possibly need for a week long trip. We made dinner a few nights and did a couple loads of laundry at our fingertips. The studio was in a great location, walking distance to Sacre Couer and close to the Metro. Overall, the trip was magical and the host and studio was perfect pair for our first time to Paris. We would definitely stay there again. Merci! Why HiP? An excellent stay - the property was just as we had imagined. At the last minute our 6' 5" son decided to come along with us, so we were three in the apartment. The apartment is very small, but just as we expected and well set out so it wasn't a problem at all. The approach to the apartment is charming and the view over the cemetery gorgeous - this isn't mentioned on the website but was a major bonus as far as we were concerned. The apartment is light and sunny. It is not in the usual touristy areas, but the metro is very close and you can get anywhere fast. If I was going to make a suggestion, we cooked every night we were there and the kitchen equipment could have been a tad better - i.e. no glasses of a decent size for a spirit drink, oven in microwave and not a lot of baking equipment i.e. baking dish, but this is being very picky. There were other things we weren't expecting like orange juice press which was great. Roger who met us was terrific and generous with his time. Excellent - would definitely stay again. Why HiP? Was just what we were looking for. |

We loved everything about our stay in this apartment. The rental process was easy, prompt and reasonable in every respect. The property itself was gorgeous. My husband and I have traveled in many parts of the world and lived in major cities such as NYC. We have stayed in a variety of upscale properties, but this simple studio was perhaps my nicest experience in over 40 years of travel. The location was magical, from entering the darling courtyard, noting the architectural details of the Cite, climbing the winding stairs, to the fascinating views of the cemetery and Sacre Coeur basilica throughout the day and night. I have serious arthritis and my husband has asthma, so a clean and physically accessible location is key for us. In spite of the stairs, this studio was so beautifully thought out in its layout and so well located that I never felt the walk-up aspect was an impediment to managing with the arthritis. The cleanliness of the apartment when we arrived achieved my very picky level of housekeeping, which is rare for even the finest hotel. In addition, the quality of the renovation of the apartment, such as the paint, tile, fixtures, and finish work, was very high, making it quick and easy for me to keep the place spotless during our stay using the vacuum and ample cleaning supplies. This was very important to me, as my husband and daughter (whom we were visiting) have asthma and allergies and have become sick in dirty hotels. The ad mentions a small hot water heater, but we never had problems with hot water running out, and the bathroom itself was, again, constructed with high quality fixtures, making it a comfortable and soothing bathing experience for my middle aged, arthritic body - and who can beat the view of Sacre Coeur from the shower! We loved being steps from the grocery store, Metro, and fun and funky Montmartre. Finally, we used a driver recommended by HiP, who arrived promptly and safely and efficiently got us to CDG at a horribly early hour in the morning. Why HiP? We heard of HiP from an American friend who owns an apartment in Paris. We chose based on the locations, photos, and reviews. We would choose HiP again in a heartbeat, based on this experience. |

The property is in an excellent location (i.e., by Metro, grocery/wine shop)! The directions for getting into to the apartment from the gate are specific, however, finding the gate was challenging. Our directions on Mapquest brought us to the opposite side of the building, which had no entrance, so it would have been helpful to direct us from the Metro stop to Avenue de St Owen and provide an approximate number of meters along that route to the gate. On arrival, we were timely greeted by Roger, who oriented us to the apartment and the neighborhood, and answered our questions about Paris. We found Roger to be a very friendly and helpful fellow, who was extremely customer oriented. We enjoyed meeting him! The apartment furnishings were excellent, even down to providing us with a few staples such as coffee, tea, and spices if we wanted to cook or just have a cup of tea! Also, the kitchen was well stocked with plates, pots, etc, if you decided to cook in, or just have breakfast as you plan your day. The kitchen had everything you needed. Lastly, having a washer and dryer in the apartment was a big bonus. Our experience in the Sacre Coeur apartment was extremely positive. In fact, on our last night, we watched a wonderful display of fireworks over the Sacre Coeur! It could not have been better. We would definitely stay here again! Why HiP? Recommended by a friend. |

I thoroughly enjoyed my stayed at the Sacre Coeur Studio.I found it to be exactly as described and pictured on the website, but also full of thoughtful details and touches, such as a fully stocked kitchen and lovely fluffy towels! It was spotless, cleverly designed, and - oh!- that view! My greeter, Roger, did an excellent job of making me feel welcome. He followed up immediately when I had trouble initially with the WiFi. Much to my delight, he had it working the very next day! I enjoyed getting to know the area, which proved to be quite convenient. At Haven in Paris' suggestion, I checked out Le Bal, an art space and cafe right nearby, which is wonderful. I also spent the better part of an afternoon wandering in the Cemetery which is fascinating and beautiful. All in all, a completely positive experience. I can't wait to come back! |

We loved our little Sacre Coeur home for our week in Paris. It had everything we needed - great facilities (washer & dryer), fantastic chic shower, comfortable bed, decked-out kitchen (even with a bounty of ground coffee ready to go in the fridge) and was ideally located down the road from two supermarkets and within walking distance to one of the best boulangeries in town. We felt truly spoilt to wake up to a stunning view over the cemetery to the Sacre Coeur and look forward to staying there again the next time we are in Paris. Why HiP? Raffaella was wonderful and let us know everything we needed around the apartment and in the neighborhood. The apartment was also wonderful-- it was exactly as we pictured and it was clean and fresh when we arrived. It was so convenient to have the laundry in the apartment as we did not pack enough cold-weather clothes but were able to wash the few that we had for our stay! Our stay was wonderful and we will recommend Haven in Paris to our friends. In fact, my brother and his wife are staying in another apartment in Montmarte in just a couple of weeks! Thank you! |

Ingenious is the word that springs to mind to describe this little studio. Only 20 m2, yet it looks and feels stylish, airy and spacious, and it's equipped with everything you need. Thanks to clever built-in cupboards there is tons of storage space, and the Murphy bed is very comfortable. Being in an apartment building, you can hear the neighbours' comings and goings, but at night it is really quiet -- not even any traffic noise. The street of little workshops and cottages is charming too. We loved the fact that any passing neighbours would say bonjour. Being off the tourist track like this makes you feel like a local. It's only a couple of minutes' walk from the metro, and there are plenty of local shops, including a boulangerie across the street and a supermarket just a couple of hundred yards away. A 10-15 minute walk takes you to Abbesses and rue Lepic. Perfect in every way! |

Rafaella was great. She texted me as soon as I arrived at the airport, was responsive to any questions I had, etc. Really lovely. The shower was great. The flat was very clean. Very! and I am picky. One of the selling points for the apartment was reports of the cleanliness, and I was not disappointed.The bath towels were as great as reported by others, so that was nice. The Murphy bed was extremely comfortable but I would not have been able to share it with anyone. For just me, it was amazing. The whole flat was perfect for one person. Not sure how it would be for two. The apartment was not as noise-proof as a hotel room. You could hear all the neighbors, their music, conversation, and of course, comings and goings. On the other hand, it was nice to have neighbors. I needed a match at one point and the guy on the first floor was friendly as could be. I also was missing a glove one morning and when I walked downstairs someone had found it and propped it on the banister. You might want to list as an item to bring: shampoo and conditioner. Also, I was also happy to have a pocket umbrella, which I knew to bring since someone else mentioned wanting an umbrella. It is great that you had one in the apartment, but I was happier to have my own that I could stick in my bag. I loved my week at the Sacre Coeur studio. Thank you! |

We loved our stay in Paris. In brief, the cleaning was excellent. Raffaella, our greeter, is a sensitive sweetheart and everything we expected in a concierge/greeter. We contacted her several times prior to our arrival in Paris and were pleased with her responses, which we found to be clear, efficient, yet open and engaging. Raffaella explained everything clearly and helped us with other issues, over and above what a greeter /concierge would normally handle. She is an excellent representative of Haven in Paris and I would highly recommend her to handle questions and crisis alike. |

We loved our little apartment. It met our needs very well. Raffaella was a wonderful greeter and was eager to be of assistance. We also loved all the contact emails prior to our departure as they were personable and welcoming. Only recommendations: advise as to where the stairwell light switch is as we had to leave at 6:00 one morning and we walked down all those stairs in total darkness clinging to the bannister.* Also the computer was not reliable nor was the TV.** Ended up not accessing it at all. Thank you for the free telephone calling to the US. That was a great bonus. The apt was small (from a North American perspective) but much bigger than the average hotel room in Paris and super cute. The property was as described on your website and in the correspondence. The kitchen was well stocked with every implement that could possibly be required. The bed was comfortable and the duvet fluffy. Loved the view, and the flowers and bottle of wine were a particularly nice touch. Raffaela was great. She did an excellent job of explaining all aspects of the apartment and made it very clear that I could contact her if I had any questions/issues. The apartment was exceptionally clean. And it was also easy to keep clean, due to all the cleaning products/implements provided. It's good that you make clear prior to booking that the staircase would be a challenge for anyone who suffers from mobility issues. Certainly, getting a large suitcase up the staircase was a challenge, but well worth it once I got there! I was one person, and there was a good amount of space me. Two people would also work. I really would not recommend this apartment to a group of three or more, or even two + a child. Haven in Paris' booking and communication process is excellent. Very reassuring and extremely professionally organized. I will definitely recommend Haven in Paris to anyone I know looking for an apartment in Paris, and am looking forward to booking again myself in the future. Thanks for a great stay in Paris! |

We had a direct connection with HIP through Ariel, who is a good friend of my niece. She was wonderful in responding to my first foray into the booking process. The communication and consistent follow-up from HIP was fantastic. The Sacre Coeur studio was a tiny(!) but very charming studio with such a view, it was a joy to wake up there and to come home to at the end of our day. This was my second visit to Paris but my daughters first, it was a gift to her for her 21st birthday. I especially wanted to stay in the Montmatre area as she is a Fine Art student. We had the most memorable week together in Paris, walking for miles and taking in everything including many art museums and shops. The food was wonderful. Why HiP? My sister stayed at the Sacre Coeur studio with her daughter Sept 2010 and loved the apt and location. So I went on her recommendation. The price was very reasonable as well and I liked having a kitchen and feeling as though we were living there for the week, different than a hotel. A word on Vincent and the two greeters. EXCELLENT! Vincent offered to carry our (very heavy) suitcases down the stairs for us when we were leaving. |

We absolutely loved staying in this apartment! It was cute, clean, and well stocked with the basics we needed. The neighborhood was exactly what we were hoping for. It feels like the "real" Paris we wanted to experience. Walking to the shops on rue Lepic to pick out our breads, wines, meats, and cheeses to eat back at the apartment was one of our favorite things about our time in Paris. The apartment was clean and efficient and Raffaella (our greeter) was great. She was there waiting for us when we arrived, and was there a few minutes early to come meet us when we were leaving. She was very efficient in showing us the apartment and how to use all the appliances. We can't wait to come back to Paris! |

I had a WONDERFUL week in Paris. It was a lifetime dream come true. My little apartment was just perfect. David picked me up right on time and was charming. Snazzy car too! Raffaella met us at the apartment and she was a delight. She explained the techie things and showed me where to find everything I might need. She also brought lovely roses and snipped the ends and put them in a vase for me. She even got out a wine glass! The apt. was well equipped, spotless and cozy. I had everything I needed. I was on the go! Wow! I should have booked at least a month! It was filled with light from the enormous windows and the view of Sacre Coeur behind the cemetery was spectacular. There was nothing to improve upon, as far as I noticed. I LOVED it! So yes, it is possible for a 68 year old grandma to go alone to France, speaking only a little French AND have a great experience. You ladies helped with it all, and I am very grateful. I will certainly use your agency again when I plan another trip. Thank you for all your help. The trip was a dream come true for me. |

The Sacre Coeur studio property was such a surprise! Although compact in size, the unit was thoughtfully organized and furnished, and very clean. The view of the cemetery covered with fresh snow was hauntingly spectacular with a view of the top of the Sacre Coeur lit up at night. The proximity to the cemetery made this neighborhood especially quiet. The location was within walking distance of some fantastic restaurants--La Famille, Le Miroir, etc.--and of course close to the Metro. Definitely felt away from the tourist element. Our greeter was very cheerful and helpful. This was our first experience with Haven in Paris and will definitely not be our last. Why HiP? Researched online via Hip in Paris website. The Sacre Coeur studio apartment is a marvelous gem. I could imagine returning year after year to "my" home in Paris. All the amenities and comforts of home plus the privilege of living Parisienne! We enjoyed many new experiences here this trip but the one that I will be talking about is returning from the market with ingredients for dinner that I cooked for us right here in Paris! Dealing with the Haven in Paris team from first booking the Sacre Coeur studio over the Internet to the day we checked out was such a pleasure. The process that HIP have set up (i.e., explicit instructions on what to do when you reach Paris, having someone greet you at the unit and as your contact during your stay) is very reassuring. The Pilleux studio is quite small so it best suits 2 people, but it's set up extremely well and has top quality fittings, All Clad pots and pans and instructions on how to work the appliances. They even provide all the staples you would need for cooking. One of the best things was having the computer with Internet access not to mention the bouquet of fresh flowers and bottle of wine on arrival! We look forward to using HIP again for our next visit to France. Why HiP? We chose Haven in Paris because my brother and sister in law gave it rave reviews after staying there in 2009. |

The Sacre Coeur studio is well-situated and we enjoyed our stay. It was really nice to stay off the main tourist beat and the studio was very quiet at night, which for us was a major plus as we live in the country usually. Our neighbours were very friendly, including a small ginger kitten. Montmartre (away from Pigalle) is lovely with good shops. Our greeter Laurence kindly waited until 1am to let us in as my plane was delayed. Loredana arrived exactly on time for our departure and was most helpful. We did not use drivers etc recommended as they were not available (I tried to book David I think) because of our late arrival which was a pity as it would have saved a lot of stress as I found on arrival the CDG fast train was not running. The studio is very well-equipped, the Murphy bed very comfortable and the cleaner fantastic. We enjoyed having our own little place to return to. |

This was my second stay at the Sacre Coeur studio apartment which I like to refer to as my Paris home. I absolutely love the apartment and the neighborhood is great. Loredana my greeter was very helpful. When I had some friends over for dinner at the apartment they fell in love with it too. We were warmly welcomed to the charming and updated, Sacre Coeur studio apartment which we found to be comfortable, very clean and well-appointed (lots of towels, umbrellas,nice bedding,guide books,binder of helpful info,etc,). There was a nice bottle of wine, flowers,a gorgeous view of a graveyard and the Sacre Coeur out our windows, and a comfy bed to sleep off the jet- lag! Once you figure out the Metro (not very difficult)it proved to be a great spot to start out from everyday. Not a lot going on in the neighborhood food-wise in the evening,so plan to eat out before heading "home" for the night. We really enjoyed staying at the apartment and will do so again as it is more private and an unique experience not found in a hotel. Why HiP? We initially thought it would be more economical and offer an unique experience. I read about it on a blog (Cup of Jo) and also read Haven's own blog from that. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Paris! |

I wanted a real Parisian experience and being an interior designer I am a little bit fussy about where I live ( even if it is for just a few days ). Your attention to detail is superb. In the apartment was soap in the shower, wonderful thick towels, condiments, coffee, really just about everything needed. The murphy bed was easy and very comfortable. The view was outstanding. And I loved the neighborhood. The metro was close as were great shops. Just a wonderful overall experience. Merci beucoup! The Studio was larger than we had pictured and the view was better than we could have imagined! Everything was clean, well stocked, and worked as expected, though a comment on HIP mentioned umbrellas and there were none. (it rained 2 days during our trip). HIP communicated very well which was probably the most important factor of all, especially during the booking process and greeter confirmation. NOTE from Haven in Paris - We have taken note and there will be an umbrella in the flat from now on. Why HiP? The website seemed to be secure and genuine. The fact that there was a US address on file with the BBB was also reassuring. The good pictures and general descriptions alone could have sold us on the property, but perks like free calls and computer with internet access are what set HIP apart from any hotel. This is a nice little apartment. I love the view of Sacre Coeur and the Montmartre cemetery. HiP does not scrimp on the amenities even though this apartment belongs to the budget end. I discovered my new favorite tea - thanks to the pantry in this apartment. I'll drink only Mariage Frères tea from now on (I have bought two tins back home). Loredana, my greeter, is most helpful. She even managed to come down to the apartment to meet me in record time after knowing that my flight landed an hour early. I love the HiP experience, and I'm already plotting for my return to Paris. Why HiP? The HiP website is the easiest to navigate and to secure a booking amongst other apartment rental sites. In addition, the email response is phenomenal, I always get a response within a few hours. |

A note of thanks for a wonderful stay at the Sacre Coeur studio apartment. We enjoyed the super clean, comfortable, well stocked apartment. The property even exceeded my expectations with respect to how well stocked it was with linens, dishes etc. and my expectations for cleanliness. It was absolutely spotless. It has every necessary amenity one would need for daily life. The view is wonderful, the building very quiet, the only thing is the four flights up, but, then again, it helped with the wonderful food we ate. We went to La Maison and I went to La Mascott which were recommend on the Haven website. La Maison was fantastic. Loredana is a great asset as the greeter, contact person in case of questions etc. She was there immediately when we called with questions. She led me through all necessary instructions to operate the appliances, computer, TV etc. Her outgoing personality and competence makes her perfect for the job. I so enjoyed meeting her! I have one suggestions with respect to towel bars; I looked around for a place that one might install a bar to hang wet bath towels. Another suggestion is to put knobs on the cupboards to make them easier to open. I know this kind of ruins the overall look, but it would help. NOTE FROM HIP - We will look into your suggestions! Process to rent property exceptional nothing too much trouble. Apartment beautiful to come home to every day and enhanced our stay in Paris. Mary our greeter was lovely and very helpful. My friend and I (we are late 40's early 50's) did manage the stairs - they are beautiful. Both beds very comfortable and all facilities wonderful. Views amazing and felt like living amongst locals. Why HiP? Read a recommendation on a blog then went to Haven in paris site and this apartment gave us a bit of space and ability to self cater within the budget we could afford. We had an amazing experience - everything from the ease of booking to the friendly and accessible greeter to the simply beautiful apartment. We fell in the love with MonteMarte and really enjoyed having a true Parisian experience. The neighborhood bakeries and shops were all wonderful and not all touristy. And the apartment was easy to access from the Metro. This apartment was advertised as "budget" friendly, but it was bigger and cleaner than the more expensive hotels we stayed at for other nights of our trip. We are already planning our return! Only thing we'd appreciate is an alarm clock (which we needed only for the last day to leave for the airport!). Why HiP? We didn't like the hotel choices we were finding when we looked at Paris. For the money, the options and reviews were discouraging. I saw HiP mentioned on Cup of Jo and it seemed to fit the bill perfectly. All of our expectations were far exceeded - we enjoyed breakfast in the apartment in the morning with coffee and pastries from a local boulangerie, and then cooked at home several of the evenings as well. The kitchen was wonderful, as was access to a washer a dryer! Thanks for making our stay so comfortable and perfect. |

I absolutely loved the Sacre Coeur studio apartment -- it is rare for places to live up to pictures and this one did and more. Clean, efficient space as well as cozy with a fantastic shower and views! Other points to highlight -- it was a real treat for me and my family that I was able to call home so easily and clearly. I was obsessed with the shower -- it was better than mine at home. I love the lighting in the kitchen. Having a hair dryer was above and beyond! My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Sacre Coeur studio apartment. The flat was cozy and contained everything necessary to have a live-in Paris experience. The location of the flat, just on the outskirts of the city, offered the opportunity for us to feel residential and integrated with the Parisians. The property has a villa feel that satisfies the romantic notion of Paris. The permanent residents of the building were very kind and greeted us warmly each time we passed each other. Metro stops, bakeries, cafes, and markets are all within easy walking distance. The Haven staff were very helpful and easy to deal with; they assisted us in numerous ways and were always pleased to offer help or information. The apartment was small and compact but met our needs exactly. It was a block away from the subway with a 10 minute ride to the sites on the Seine. Down the street were superb vegetable/fruit/cheese/meat stores with very friendly vendors. There was a small grocery a few doors down for basics. We used a driver as recommended on the site to pick us up at the airport. He was very soliticious pointing out all the sites and things to do and in particular the local wine store. Our greeter Mary showed us the basics and kept in touch to assure that we were managing ok. A very pleasant holiday. Why HiP? Thank you for providing us with a Haven in Paris! The place is wonderful: we loved the light, the view, the cleverness with which the limited space was made to feel not crowded at all, the thoughtful and tasteful layout, the free phone and the Mac (just like home) the generous supplies (including that delicious bottle of wine), the pleasant and efficient business arrangement, and - of course - Didier, our super-caring greeter. When we decide to return to Paris we will be in touch again, to be sure. PS: Note to Didier our greeter - Thank you again for being there and for welcoming us so perfectly. This, like so many other things, show how caring and efficient you and the Haven in Paris team work. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at that beautiful place - I think this will not be the only time! By the way: taking the #54 bus to Gare du Nord (3rd stop there!) and then the train to CDG works perfectly. It may take a bit longer than the Metro but there are no connections to make and NO STAIRS - and most folks will have a transport Pass (Paris Visite) anyhow. You may recommend that to other guests. |

We have just returned to New Zealand after an amazing 2 month holiday which began with 1 month at Sacre Coeur studio apartment in Monmartre. The studio was just wonderful, very small but so well planned and laid out that it didnt feel small. The view is of Sacre Couer is magnificent, the facilities are perfect and the greeter, Didier, was an absolute gem. The 67 step climb to the Apartment allowed us to indulge in as many french pastries as we desired so we didnt find it difficult at all. The locals were great. We got to know the local Boucherie, Boulangerie and Supermarche staff well - they laughed when they saw us coming as our french was very limited and they thought we were very funny!! Also the French people in general were so very helpful and if we were standing in the street looking at a map someone would always approach us and try to help with directions. we loved every minute of our stay in Paris and our little studio and would return again in a heart beat. Why HiP? We had a limited budget and after an extensive online search I discovered the Sacre Coeur studio and negotiated with Erica who was so friendly and approachable and the deal was done - voila!!! |

I would highly recommend Haven in Paris. The personnel were extremely professional, timely in communications, and accommodating. The reservation process which we did online, was extremely easy. We really enjoyed staying in an apartment vs. a hotel, as it gave us a glimpse of what it's like to live in Paris. We also found it was more economical than a hotel - overall the rates were better and we had the ability to eat some meals 'at home'. The Pilleux apartment is a small but efficient space, which was all we needed to rest our heads at the end of each day. The apartment is located in a quiet mews and overlooks the Montmartre Cemetery, which is an amazing landmark to see everyday. The apartment has all the amenities you would expect - bathroom, shower, washer, and Internet access. The apartment is a 4 story walk up, so renters should be fit enough to walk the stairs. Both of our Greeters were prompt, polite and helpful. Both were very willing to help us w/our extremely heavy luggage, which Roger and I appreciated. We were pleasantly surprised by the message we received on our last day, asking if your company could help w/travel arrangements back to the train station. We weren't aware that this was a service you provided, so we spent some time searching for a taxi stand near the apartment. So, needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised by the offer to arrange a taxi for us. That was a big help - and a time saver for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will gladly recommend Haven in Paris to any of our friends and family and will use them again if we're lucky enough to travel to Paris again. Why HiP? Haven in Paris came recommended by a friend. As noted above, we also felt like renting an apartment was more economical than a hotel - overall your rates were comparable or less expensive than a hotel, and we had the ability to eat our breakfast at home every morning. But most of all, we like to get a feel for 'life' in any city we visit. Renting an apartment gave us a better sense of what it's like to live in Paris. |

The Sacre Coeur studio is perfect. The studio has the best shower in Paris and a kitchen equipped for everything from a quick breakfast to an attempt at a three course dinner. The location is far from the tourist crowd but close enough to a metro stop to get anywhere quickly. The neighbors were friendly, and everyone from Haven in Paris was responsive and helpful. I spent a three month vacation in Paris, living in the Pilleux-Sacre Coeur studio. My experience with the property and with Haven in Paris could not have been better. The studio has been built out and appointed with care and thoughtfullness bordering on obsession. Even though the space is only nineteen square meters, it never felt cramped. And anytime I needed anything, from a food processor to a hair dryer, I had only to go looking through the many cabinets to find that it had been provided. To top it all off, the view out over Montmartre onto Sacre Coeur is really something. The people associated with Haven in Paris helped to make the experience. Everyone I dealt with was not just helpful and professional but genuinely friendly. I wound up attending several all afternoon brunches at the home of the owner of HIP and the home of the greeter who settled me into the apartment. My experience with HIP was one of those rare experiences where all expectations were exceeded. |

Having just stayed in the Sacre Coeur studio apartment it feels like I discovered a mini hidden gem in Paris! Although small, the apartment is a marvel of space and style. We actually cooked and entertained 9 people there! After all the guests left, we just pulled down the ingenious bed from the wall and the room transformed into a bedroom. Set against the backdrop of green from the Montmartre cemetery, we found it quite peaceful and tranquil. And the shower is fantastic – a real “rain” showerhead, so rare in Paris! I arrived in Paris worried about staying in a studio that is smaller than my bedroom at home. However, as soon as I walked in and saw how well planned out the apartment was, I knew it would be just fine. I have stayed in many apartments in France, and this was by far the best thought out. The shower is large and relaxing (and has a view!). The fully equipped kitchen made it a pleasure to shop and cook in the apartment, and there was even enough space to make a Mexican feast with friends! It was a very quiet, romantic place to stay, and the reflection on Sacre Coeur and the hillside at sunset was breathtaking - I took photos almost every night. Having unlimited internet and phone made it easy to keep in touch with people back in the U.S., and I felt like I really had my own little home in Paris. When I come back, I hope it will be to the same apartment! For a cozy and pleasant stay in Paris, you can't do any better. |
